Celebrating over 20 years of empowering Sri Lanka’s youth, the EDEX Education Exhibition and Careers Fair hosted its Mid-Year Expo from 6th to 8th September 2024 at the BMICH in Colombo. Building on the success of the main ElDEX Expo held earlier this year, the Mid-Year Expo provided a wealth of opportunities for aspiring students and job seekers.
This year’s event featured over 150 education stalls and 25 job fair stalls, showcasing prominent tertiary education institutions, vocational training centers, and skills development institutes, alongside leading corporate entities. Attendees had access to a diverse range of options in higher education, training, employment, and entrepreneurship.
The Expo highlighted a variety of local and international higher education institutions, with representation from countries such as Australia, Japan, Canada, Malaysia, and Germany. The EDEX Mid-Year Expo 2024 received endorsements from key government bodies, including the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, Labor and Foreign Employment, and Environment. Strategic partnerships with organizations like the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) further emphasized the event’s significance lo industry stakeholders and employers.
