The Old Royalists’ Cadet Band Association undertook the project to renovate and improve the band room and Cadets’ Square in 2022. The project involved spray painting all store racks, wooden cupboards, staircases, and the entire iron mesh covers in the Cadets’ Square. Two new iron cupboards were also built to store all extra instruments. The walls inside the band room and the Cadets’ Square were colour washed to give them a fresh look.To further enhance the beauty of the Cadets’ Square, the old plants were uprooted and replaced with new ones in the concrete flower troughs. The lawn around the war monument was mowed, bushes were trimmed, and the entire monument garden was cleaned. All white bricks around the garden and walking path to the monument were colour washed to give a brand-new look. The hostellers now have a brand-new music room after 10 years.
