Mr. Chinnathambi Rathinasabapathy, born in Nainativu (3rd Ward) and residing in Bambalapitiya, Colombo, passed away peacefully on Friday, 22nd May 2026 in Colombo.
He served with dedication as a teacher of Agriculture, Tamil, and Hinduism, and was the MIC of the Tamil Literary Association. He retired as the Deputy Principal of Royal College, Colombo, after a long and distinguished career in education.

The remains will lie at Jayaratne Funeral Directors, Borella on
- Saturday, 23rd May 2026 – 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
- Sunday, 24th May 2026 – from 9.00 a.m. onwards
The cortege will leave the parlour at 4.00 p.m. on Sunday, 24th May 2026 for cremation at the Borella Old Crematorium.
