The ORAUK Autumn Extravaganza, held on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, was a fantastic success, bringing together Old Royalists of all ages, their families, and friends for an unforgettable evening of fun, fellowship, and fundraising to support ORAUK and the current students of Royal College, Colombo.
The event saw a great mix of young and seasoned Royalists, along with their families and friends, highlighting the strong bonds of camaraderie that make our community so special. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with laughter, lively conversations, and shared memories, all while contributing to ORAUK’s ongoing mission to support Royal College and its students.
A special highlight of the evening was the amazing music by Hasthi, which featured a novel session of Sri Lankan traditional drum performances paired with vibrant songs in English, Tamil, and Sinhala. This unique blend of music kept the dance floor buzzing all night, adding an unforgettable energy and vibrancy to the evening.
The fundraising efforts were equally successful, with an exciting raffle draw offering fabulous prizes and a beautifully crafted souvenir publication. These initiatives received tremendous support from our generous patrons and sponsors, playing a key role in the event’s success and helping us raise crucial funds for our projects.
The night was further enriched by the warm presence of our wider Sri Lankan community and friends, whose support and attendance were deeply appreciated. This memorable event was a wonderful reflection of the unity, dedication, and spirit that defines ORAUK. Together, we continue to celebrate the legacy of Royal College and work towards ensuring the success of the next generation of Royalists.
