
Pasan Wanigasekara takes office as Secretary of the Royal College Union.
Mr. Pasan Wanigasekara is a seasoned corporate leader with extensive international experience across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America. He previously served as Director, Asia Pacific Business at a subsidiary of Moody’s Corporation, where he gained expertise in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, operational optimization, digitization, and legal affairs.
Following his tenure at Moody’s, he advised several Fortune 500 companies and Asia-based private equity funds on investment analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and operational transformation, while also practicing as an Attorney-at-Law. He later served as the Director General of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka until January 2022. Since then, he has continued his work as a business consultant and has served on the boards of several leading companies across the finance, leisure, automobile, agriculture, R&D, sustainable energy, and manufacturing sectors.
He currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of John Keells PLC, Union Assurance PLC, Abans Finance PLC, and Pinnacle Distribution Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
His association with the Royal College Union spans nearly three decades, during which he has served in numerous leadership roles, including Deputy Chairman of EDEX, Assistant Secretary of the LPMC, Secretary of the Academic and Skills Development Advisory Committee, Treasurer and Secretary of OGACO, Joint Secretary of the Hayman Organising Committee, Secretary of the Smart School Implementation Committee, and most recently, Assistant Secretary of the Royal College Union.
Mr. Wanigasekara graduated from the University of Moratuwa as a Computer Science Engineer. He is also a Chartered Management Accountant, a Chartered Financial Accountant, a Chartered Marketer, and an Attorney-at-Law.
