Royal College emerged as the Overall Diving Champions at the recently concluded 49th National Aquatic Championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union. The event was held at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex.
Royal College dominated the competition with a record 126 points, securing the top position. S. Thomas’ College followed in second place with 53 points, while Colombo International School and Royal College Union Aquatic Club shared third place, each earning 30 points.
In addition to the team’s overall success, individual divers from Royal College delivered standout performances:
Ruel Wickramathne was named Best Diver in Group B
Sushen Wijesinghe received the title of Best Diver in Group C
Yehan De Silva was awarded Best Diver in Group D
These exceptional performances underscore Royal College’s continued excellence in aquatic sports.
