The Royal College Old Scouts Association kicked off its 80th anniversary celebrations with a charitable event at Sri Jinananda Children’s Home in Wellawatta on September 29, 2024. In the presence of the Royal College Principal, a medical camp and eye check-up were conducted for 60 children, with six found in need of spectacles. Donations included football boots for five children, as well as electrical equipment, stationery, and toys. The total value of the project surpassed Rs. 250,000. The celebrations will continue with an Achievers’ Night and Fellowship Dinner scheduled for October 18, 2024.
