Fourteen year old Induwara Thisarindu and twelve year old Vinuka Wijeratne kept Royal’s flag flying high at the National Chess Championship 2025. They both finished on 8 points after 13 rounds along with two other players but were placed 4th and 5th respectively following the tie-break.
It must be mentioned that Induwara was a member of Royal’s Under 15 team last year while Vinuka played in the Under 13 team.
